KIPP St. Louis Schools' teachers are persistent, committed, and above all, focused on students. Our teachers are devoted to ensuring that every student is provided with the right tools that they need in order to succeed in college and the competitive world.

Being a teacher at a KIPP school requires a considerable amount of time and effort. It involves teaching in an environment when educators are constantly looking for ways to improve their teaching , and challenge both themselves and their students. KIPP St. Louis values each and everyone one of the teachers as a critical part in the foundation of our schools. Our teachers work together as a team and family to achieve a common goal of getting our students to college. We know that success doesn’t just “happen,” it takes every member of our team giving 110% everyday. Our teachers carry-out their belief that every child CAN and WILL learn through every aspect of their day through instructional practices to directly interacting with each student to how we develop curriculum.

In order to ensure that students are receiving the best possible instruction, KIPP St. Louis recruits and selects excellent teachers who have had significant success working with low-income, minority, and other traditionally underserved populations. We structure the school schedule to ensure regular opportunities for planning, mentoring, and professional development and collaboration between other schools and teachers.
