Our Students
KIPP St. Louis School was founded in 2009 based on the belief that all students can and will learn when provided with a quality education. Students at KIPP work hard and strive to be the best they can be everyday. Our students attend school longer then traditional schools, 7:30 am to 5pm. Each night our students are ask to complete 90 minutes of homework . Students attend 2 saturday schools out of the month and summer school is required for all students. Throughout the school year students not only excel academically, but they are able to enjoy educational trips such as college visits and performances produced by C.O.C.A. At KIPP we believe in the importance of a well-rounded student and do our best to provide our students with the best opportunities possible.
KIPPsters know that it takes hard work to reach their overall goal, to graduate from college. Students are challenge everyday in their courses and are able to have fun as well. The road to college is not easy, but every KIPPster takes on the challenge knowing that both the parents and the school are committed to doing whatever it takes to help them climb the mountain to college.
Through out the country KIPPsters are demonstrating the capabilities they have to learn when they are given the right tools. 85% of KIPPsters enrolled in a college or university in 2009 compare to the nation wide statistic of 40% enrollment for low income students.
